Step One: Initial Contact
Start by filling out our online form, shooting us an email or giving us a call so we can set up a time to speak on the phone about your project!
Step Two: Initial Phone Meeting
Our first contact is usually by phone. We gather basic information about you and the remodeling project you wish to do. We discuss your project, your vision, budget for your kitchen, bath or addition.
Step Three: Let’s Meet
Let’s make an appointment to meet at your home . Tell us what your goals are — Tell us about your needs, wants and desires. During this initial interview, we’ll discuss many things and kick around different ideas and make suggestions. While at your home, a lot will be covered from function to aesthetics to budget. With the information we have provided we will then discuss our design process and our design agreement.
Step Four: Design Phase
In order to get started on your kitchen, bath or addition we need a design and a working set of drawings. This is no problem for us, as a matter of fact we prefer designing the kitchens we remodel.
Have a difficult time envisioning a project with floor plans and line drawings?
• We have software that enables you to see your kitchen completed before we start the project!
• You can open our design files on your computer using our downloadable software to get life like renderings.
Step Five: Design Agreement
A design agreement is simply an agreement between us that we’ll complete and provide you with a workable design for your kitchen or bath. In exchange for the investment of our time and resources, you’ll compensate us for a specified amount relative to the size of your project. Our design fee is based on estimated budget amount. The design agreement investment is due in full at time of signing agreement. When you commit to the actual project, we’ll credit your full design investment to the deposit of your new kitchen with Freeman Kitchen & Bath.
Step Six: Design!
We’ll measure and take digital photos of your kitchen, area and rooms directly related to your proposed kitchen-remodeling project. If you haven’t already completed our questionnaire in advance of this meeting, we’ll ask you complete it and fax or email it back to us. We will then get started on some preliminary designs which you will see unfold on the life like renderings referred to above.
Step Seven: Design/Material Selections/Estimate
Review and selection of cabinetry, door style, wood species and finishes will also be done. Appliance requirements, make and models, along with counter surfacing and sink equipment options will be discussed. With this information in hand, your designer will be able to begin comprehensive pricing your project. When you find the “one thing” that will guide your design whether that be cabinets (stain, paint, style), countertop surface, tile, paint….whatever it is it will be so much easier for you to make corresponding choices. With these choices and the design we will be able to determine an estimate of cost for the project.
Step Eight: Contract Signing/Material Orders
When all the design requirements have been satisfied and selections made, your designer will present to you the formal design plan and drawings. A contract, which includes will accompany your design plans. Once the contract is signed and the initial payment is made we can move forward and start ordering materials.
Step Nine: Project Start!
